Russia to Sell S-300’s to Iran, and Build Another Reactor at Bushehr
Posted: September 12, 2013 Filed under: Nuclear 3 CommentsTwo very significant developments reported in this article in the Jerusalem Post:
1. Russia has approved the sale of S-300 anti-aircraft missiles to Iran;
2. Russia has also agreed to build another nuclear reactor at Bushehr.
Kind of seems like Russia is flexing its muscles in doing some things it knows the US doesn’t want it to do. Putin is back.
Looks like Putin has denied that assertion.

Interesting! It says that Putin and Rouhani are scheduled to meet this week in Tehran. Is Putin’s denial because the agreement hasn’t been finalized yet, but is likely to be at their meeting?
Uh, Putin and Rouhani are scheduled to meet on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (a long scheduled thing), and they’ll have a joint meeting with Xi as well. A Teheran visit by Putin was once rumoured, but that was a long time ago (1month ago or more). It might still happen in the near future of course.
